The Red Line and Green Line are operational, with three further lines planned. These first two lines run underground in the city center and on elevated viaducts elsewhere (elevated railway). All trains and stations are air conditioned with platform edge doors to make this possible. • 47 stations, 9 underground train run: • 2 transfer stations (Union Square Saturday to Thursday: and Khalid Bin Waled) from 6am to 11pm • 87 trains in the metro system Friday: from 2pm to midnight • 75 kilometers total During Ramadan: Saturday to Thursday: • Train signaling: Fully-automated operation by Thales Rail Signaling from 6am to midnight Solution, minimum headway of 90 Friday: 2pm to midnight seconds 3
